Client Software Support Technician (Will consider new graduates)
Looking for a Client Support Technician to be a part of a rapidly evolving technology group supplying top quality solutions to growing top tier Wall Street client base. Candidates must have a passion for learning new technologies and methodologies quickly and employing them to troubleshoot and solve client issues. We are looking for Support Technicians to handle client interactions, issue investigation and resolution, and support-related development in a large-scale, state-of-the-art, multi-asset order management system.
-Answer email and (less frequently) phone calls from clients for general application support and troubleshooting
-Investigate issues (using system logs, database querying, etc.)
-Monitoring and testing software solutions
-Customize client specific exports, reports and configurations
-At least one year of experience within IT (software development in a JVM language, QA or similar) preferred.
-Fluency with the Linux/Unix command-line environment.
-Good SQL knowledge and skills (SQL queries).
-Some Python, Bash scripting preferred.
-Very good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle client interaction.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Prior experience with trading software a plus.
-XML knowledge a plus.
